2 Ways to Detox Your Body

We are constantly bombarded by toxins everywhere:  it’s in our food, in the air, in our drinks and even when we are around technology like our phones and laptops.  With arguably more toxins available to humans today than at any other point in history, it is no wonder that the word “detox” has become well known in health circles, spa centers and the like.  And the interesting thing is that there are so many different ways to detox our bodies and minds that a person can get lost trying to find the right detox regimen for themselves!

The real kicker is that our bodies are designed to detox.  We use the restroom several times a day, we sweat, we even purge and become feverish if necessary and all of these methods that our bodies frequent are ways that it detoxes.  What tends to happen though, over time, is that we take in more toxins than we expel which leads to health and weight issues.  The good news is that there are a lot of ways we can help our body detox.  But before hopping into different detox regimens, let’s take a look at how we can support our bodies in doing what it does naturally:  detoxing!

2 Ways to Help Your Body Detox

Without getting into a very lengthy discussion, here are two ways you can help your body to detox harmful toxins:

  1. Take in less toxins

It sounds easy enough, but several people become confused when they read this.  How often do you drink sodas or alcohol?  How much natural food do you eat compared with processed foods?  What are you putting in your body on a daily basis?  Do you eat a lot of chips and junk food?

One way we can help our bodies to detox is by ceasing to clog it with foodstuffs that doesn’t support your natural detoxing capabilities.  Also, do you mix your foods?  Do you eat dessert right after a heavy dinner?  All of these questions, when answered, should support you in becoming clearer on how to take in less toxins.

  1. Eliminate more toxins

How much water do you drink on average in a day?  Do you exercise regularly?  And more importantly, do you sweat at least a few times a week?  Flushing your body with water, and sweating are two great ways to support your body in detoxing harmful substances.  The key is to make it a habit!

Different Detox Regimens

There are a myriad of different detox regimens out there that can support you in achieving your health goals.  But as with all things, check with your doctor first to make sure it is safe.

  1. Vitamin C Flush

While there are some products you can use at home, again, we insist upon you seeing your doctor before engaging in these detox regimens.  In Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya to be specific, there is a doctor’s clinic called My-Life Centre where doctors do provide a vitamin C flush service for their patients.

  1. Coffee Enemas

A coffee enema is another great way to detox your intestines and stimulate your liver to detox.  There are many places around Kuala Lumpur that offer this service, or you can do from the comfort of your own home.

  1. Ayurveda detox

If you are more interested in a type of detox that promotes healthier eating, then I would highly suggest looking into and researching the benefits of Ayurveda.  There is a company in Malaysia called Ayurco Wellness with top-notch certified Ayurvedic practitioners that have helped people all over Malaysia.

  1. SweatSpa Far-Infrared Sauna Therapy

Last, but certainly not least (and by far the most painless and easiest in my opinion) is to enrol in a Far-Infrared Sauna programme in Kuala Lumpur, or more specifically, in Bangsar Shopping Centre, Atria Shopping Gallery at Damansara Jaya , and Great Eastern Mall, Ampang.

Basically, people have the option of buying their own sauna to use from the comforts of their own home, or in buying a SweatSpa package where they can come in, sit for 30 to 45 minutes, and sweat out toxins effortlessly.  In fact, in one 30 minute sitting people can burn up to 700 calories by simply sitting in the sauna.

The technology is amazing and uses far-infrared lights that penetrate the skin up to an inch and a half deep and warms up your body from the inside out.  It is almost as if the heat and light energy pull the toxins out of your body!

To receive a complimentary sweat session (each lasting between 30 to 45 minutes), simply click here and fill out the form.  Before the session, you will receive a free body screening that measures everything from your body weight, to your BMI (body mass index), to your muscle mass and more.  What is really cool is that after you sweat it out, many people already see results!  Don’t delay!  Sign up now!

Wishing you a sweaty good time,
